Research in Motion or Blackberry has just announced a new device which is the successor to the Blackberry Tour. The device is currently code named the Blackberry Essex and ultimately will be known as the Blackberry Tour 2. The new iteration of the device touts a trackpad/touchpad in place of the old trackball solution. The ESSEX will also be one of the first Blackberry devices offered by Verizon Wireless with wireless networking enabled (wi-fi); something that is generally disabled. This device is sure to make an appearance soon on both the Sprint and Verizon wireless networks.
