The BlackBerry Bold is a mobile phone by wireless communications company Research In Motion Ltd. The BlackBerry Bold is the successor to the BlackBerry Pearl and the BlackBerry 8800, and was originally known as the BlackBerry 9000.
AT&T Wireless at first had exclusive launch rights to the phone in the United States. Verizon Wireless also sells plans for the Blackberry Bold. The BlackBerry Bold was released in America on November 4, 2008. A newer version called the Blackberry Bold 9700 3G came out at the end of 2009. It has the basic Blackberry home screen. The blackberry key allows the user to customize which icons are available where. It has a full e-mail client that can operate up to ten e-mail accounts. It supports threaded messaging so that you can refer back to previous messages that inspired the message you are reading. There is also a key to activate the camera, and a mute button. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera.
