The Black Kids are a rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. The group gained attention with their single "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You" and their performance at the 2007 Athens Popfest. In May 2008, the band signed with Columbia Records. Their debut album, Partie Traumatic, was produced by former Suede Band guitarist Bernard Butler. The album was released on July 22, 2008.
