Life and Career
Was born "George Joseph Lucas" on June 12, 1949 in St. Louis Missouri. He was the oldest of 4 siblings with 2 brothers and 1 sister. From 1963 to 1967 he attended St. Louis Preparatory Seminary South. Following this, he attended Cardinal Glennon College 1967-1971, where he obtained a degree in philosophy. From 1971 to 1975 he studied Theology at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. May 24, 1975 he was Ordained to priesthood by John Cardinal Carberry.
