Birmingham AL Vacation

Nicknamed "The Magic City," Birmingham, AL is the largest city in Alabama, and has many wonderful sights to see.

History buffs should visit the Southern Museum of Flight and the Bessemer Hall of History. Music lovers will enjoy the Alabama Jazz Music Hall of Fame Museum, this two story museum exhibits costumes, musical instruments, records, and playbills recalling the glory days of jazz.

Families vacationing together should visit the Birmingham Zoo. The zoo is home to more than 800 animals, including bald eagles and Bengal tigers, pandas and ring-tailed lemurs. Another fun adventure the kids will love is Alabama Adventure, Birmingham area's amusement park. Home to the Rampage, one of Americas favorite wooden roller coasters.

Birmingham is the entertainment and cultural capital of Alabama and home to the Birmingham Museum of Art, the largest art museum in the state. While visiting make sure visit the Alabama Ballet, Alabama Symphony Orchestra or the Alabama Theater where you can see film screenings, concerts and performances.
