Big Daddies are powerful enemy characters in the game BioShock. These genetically altered beings exist for the sole purpose of protecting little sisters as they collect ADAM. Big Daddies were invented by Dr. Suchong with the approval of Andrew Ryan. They are human beings who are fed plasmids and grafted to a mechanical suit which gives them strength and agility. Their minds are essentially lost as their sole purpose for existence becomes protecting the little sisters. There are two basic types of Big Daddies, Rosies and Bouncers. The Bouncer is the standard type, with a drill replacing one of his hands, he typically attacks by rushing and swinging his arms and eventually goring his opponent with the drill when he catches him stationary. The Rosies, named after World War II poster character Rosie the Riveter, carry rivet guns and tend to stick to long range attacks.
