Bioshock 2 is a First Person Shooter game developed by 2K Marin, published by 2K Games, and was released on February 9, 2010. It is the sequel to the highly acclaimed shooter Bioshock, which was developed by 2K Boston. Like its predecessor, Bioshock 2 puts a large focus on special abilities known as Plasmids in addition to the traditional assortment of guns found in most First Person Shooters.
Bioshock 2 picks up eight years after the events of the original Bioshock. Both Andrew Ryan and Frank Fontaine are dead and Rapture is now in the hands of a communist therapist named Sofia Lamb. Players take control of a prototype Big Daddy known to others as Subject Delta. Ten years before the actual start of the game, Lamb had forced Delta to shoot himself in the head with a pistol after getting into a fight with a group of splicers. Despite this, Delta somehow wakes up at the beginning of the game and is pushed forward through Rapture by the voice of the Little Sister that he has been bonded with, Lamb's daughter, Eleanor.
Throughout the game, players are given the opportunity to either rescue or harvest Little Sisters, just like in the first game. In addition to the choices involved with Little Sisters, there will also be times where you are given the opportunity to either kill or leave alone some of the key characters in Rapture. Your decisions contribute to which of the six endings you will receive at the end of the game.
