Bionic Commando Lab Reports

  • In preparation for the release of Bionic Commando on May 19, 2009, publisher Capcom is releasing a series of "Lab Report" videos to show off some of the abilities of the game's protagonist, Nathan Spencer.
  • Lab Report 1

The first lab report video, expected to be the first of several, shows off protagonist Nathan Spencer's bionic left arm. He can use it as a grappling hook, swing across gaps, pull things closer and perform many other gravity defying moves. Using the arm effectively in-game takes a while to master, as one would expect with a new bionic arm.GameVideos: Bionic Commando 'Lab Report #1: Bionic Arm' trailer (Time: 1:33)
  • About the Game

The original Bionic Commando game was an action platformer released on the NES and other classic platforms. Now, twenty years later, Nathan Spencer is back with updated 3D graphics, a new mission...and a new developer. But fear not. Developer GRIN is the same company who worked on the PC versions of the successful Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter series.

Voiced by Mike Patton, former singer of the band Faith No More, Nathan Spencer has been betrayed by the government and is sentenced to death. On the day of his execution, terrorists detonate an experimental weapon in the city, wiping out the entire population with the ensuing earthquake. Now the government needs a Bionic Commando to wrench the city from the terrorists' grasp.Official Site: Bionic Commando
