Bionic Commando Demo

  • Capcom released a multiplayer demo for the Xbox 360 version of their action platformer, Bionic Commando on April 29, 2009. The demo gives players the chance to try out the Vertigo map, one of the game's 16 multiplayer maps.   • Demo Glitch Fix

    There are two known glitches in the demo:

    1. Friends cannot be invited to play
    2. Five minutes is not long enough to experience the multiplayer version of the game

    A simple fix, posted by a Capcom Unity forum member, works around these issues.Joystiq: Bionic Commando demo glitch allows friends, extends time limit (May 7, 2009)

    1. Launch the demo
    2. Press start
    3. The main menu opens, displaying the Xbox Live, Options and Quit Demo selections
    4. Stay on this screen
    5. Have a friend invite you to play any game
    6. Accept the invitation
    7. Select "NO" when you are prompted to quit the current game session
    8. You will be booted to the demo lobby
    9. At this point you will be able to invite friends to the game and the time limit is removed

    The original Bionic Commando game was released on the NES and other classic platforms. Twenty years later, Nathan Spencer is back with 3D graphics and a new mission. Voiced by Mike Patton, former singer of the band Faith No More, Nathan Spencer was betrayed by the government and sentenced to death. On the day of his execution, terrorists detonate an experimental weapon and wipe out the city's entire population with the ensuing earthquake.
