Biogen Idec, founded in 2003 after a merger between Biogen and Idec Pharmaceuticals, is a biotechnology company that manufactures drugs to treat diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS and Cancer. They have manufacturing plants in Kendall Square, in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
