American icon, singer and actor Bing Crosby had a legendary career from 1926 until his death of a heart attack in 1977. He is crediting with inspiring fellow crooners like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Perry Como. In 1962, he became the first person to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Crosby's highest rated movie was White Christmas. His version of the song "White Christmas" continues to be the best selling song of all time. After protest from the stations as they wanted to keep radio shows life, Crosby was the first to broadcast pre-recorded shows on the radio.
