Billy Powell, keyboardist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, died on January 28, 2009, at the age of 56. Police say Powell called 911 in the early morning hours complaining of difficulty breathing. Emergency responders found him unconscious and performed CPR, and Powell was pronounced dead at 1:52 a.m. An autopsy will be performed, but it is believed that Powell suffered a heart attack.
