  • Bill Parcells is a retired National Football League head coach, last coaching the Dallas Cowboys between the years of 2003 and 2006. He currently holds a position with the Miami Dolphins, as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

    In December of 2008, it was rumored that Parcells, who has an opt-out clause in his contract, may leave the Dolphins should owner Wayne Huizenga sell the team.ESPN.com: Tuna Fishing?   • Brief Biography

    Bill Parcells started his coaching career with the Air Force Academy and was part-time assistant basketball coach at Army, while Bobby Knight was the head coach. He got his first assignment as head coach in 1983 with the New York Giants. After a disastrous 3-12 first season, Parcells went on to win two Super Bowls with the franchise. He moved on to the New England Patriots, then back to New York with the Jets, ending his career as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
