Bill Oefelein is an American Naval officer and former NASA astronaut. Oefelein was in the news in 2007 for his involvement in a love-triangle with Lisa Nowak and Colleen Shipman, which was exposed when Nowak was arrested for assaulting Shipman, a U.S. Air Force Captain.
