Jennifer Butler Murray filed for a divorce on May 12, 2008 in Charleston County, South Carolina with the claims that actor husband Bill Murray was abusive, addicted to drugs, adulterous and frequently abandoned her during their 10 year marriage.
Pre Nup Agreement

The marital agreement signed by Bill Murray and Jennifer Butler states that "Each party will waive his or her rights to receive maintenance, support or alimony from the other party.
It however, doesn't constitute a waiver of either parties' rights to share in the estate."
It also states that "both parties recognize that Bill Murray is the father and Jennifer Butler Murray is the mother to sons Caleb James, Jackson William, and Cooper Jones and that each party has rights, obligations and responsibilities to the said children."
The agreement goes on to say that "upon dissolution of the marriage, Jennifer Butler Murray will receive a marital award of $7 million to be paid by Bill Murray with in 60 days of the dissolution date."
