Bill Mauldin

Bill Mauldin was a Pulitzer Prize winning political cartoonist who died in 2003. Mauldin became famous for his cartoons of World War II. He started producing cartoons for the U.S. Army in 1940 and became a full-time cartoonist for the military magazine Stars and Stripes in 1944. He continued a career of political cartooning, including cartoons critical of racism, the Ku Klux Klan and Joseph McCarthy.
