Bill Cowher is the former head coach of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers and current football analyst on the CBS show, The NFL Today. Cowher was originally hired by the Steelers in 1992 and led the team to an 11-5 record in his first season. After the 2006 season, Cowher left the Steelers after 15 season as the head coach. NFL Career
He got his start as the special teams coordinator for the Cleveland Browns in the mid-1980s. He then went one to coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and finally getting his first and only head coaching job with the Steelers in 1992, the same year he won AP's coach of the year. In 15 years as the head coach with the Steelers, he led the team to the playoffs nine times, won two AFC championships and one Super Bowl championship. He also won 161 total games in 15 seasons. Bill Cowher retired as head football coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers after the 2006 season.
Potential Coaching Positions

Bill Cowher Resigns
On January 5, 2007, Bill Cowher made the decision to resign as the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach after 15 seasons in the position. Cowher, who won 161 games with the club, would take a new job as a television analyst on The NFL Today with CBS in February. Cowher has not returned to coaching since.
