Bill Condon Bio
Bill Condon was born in New York City, New York on October 22, 1955. He attended Regis High School and continued his education at Columbia College of Columbia University as a philosophy major.
He first garnered national attention for his film Gods and Monsters which he wrote and directed. For his efforts he received an Academy award for Best adapted screenplay. In 2002, he was nominated for Best adapted screenplay at the 75th Academy Awards for his work on the Best picture winner Chicago starring Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger. He later wrote and directed a film version of the musical Dreamgirls starring Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0174374/
Condon was chosen to executive produce the 81st Academy Awards in 2009.
