Bikram Yoga

  • Bikram Yoga was developed by Indian yoga guru Bikram Choudhury.

    Bikram Yoga consists of 26 different postures and two breathing exercises. It is fast-paced and practiced in a warm room, approximately 105°F, which is supposed to help increase flexibility and oxygen flow throughout the body. Each class lasts approximately 90 minutes.

    Yoga traditionalists have been upset by Bikram Choudhury's attempts at trying to copyright his 26 postures and the franchising and commercialization of Bikram Yoga.
