The winner for the 2009 season of Biggest Loser was chosen on May 12, 2009, during a two hour season finale. The final four contestants included Ron Morelli and his son Mike, Helen Phillips and Tara Costa. Only the top three contestants were eligible to be in the finals, so viewers voted on either Ron or Mike to join Tara and Helen. Mike ended up joining them, and Helen became the ultimate winner of the $250,000 prize money.

2008 Winner
Michelle Aguilar was chosen as the winner on the finale of Biggest Loser: Families that aired on December 16, 2008 at 8/7c. The finale two contestants have been announced with the third contestant to be voted in by viewers. Michelle Aguilar is a 26 year old from Fort Worth, Texas, and Vicky Vilcan is a 37 year old from Houma, Louisiana. The third finale contestant will be selected from the husband and wife team, Heba and Ed, on the show. Heba Salama is a 30 year old and Ed Brantley is a 31 year old from Raleigh, North Carolina.-
