Big Pun was a New York based rapper, also known as Big Punisher.

Big Pun began his hip-hop music career working with fellow artist Fat Joe. His most successful song Still Not A Player received mainstream attention in 1998 and was featured on his best selling album Capital Punishment. Big Pun struggled with weight his entire adult life and on February 7, 2000 he died of a heart attack months before the release of his second album Yeeeah Baby. His third album, consisting of unreleased tracks coupled with greatest hits, was released in 2001.
