Big Medicine

Big Medicine is a reality show that airs on TLC and Discovery Health. The show focuses on a father and son team of bariatric surgeons Robert and Garth Davis and their medical practice that provides weight loss surgery to morbidly obese patients. The program also follows patients through the preparation, surgery, and obstacles they encounter during recovery. Besides focusing on the physical transformation the patient experiences, the program chronicles the emotional changes that occur upon losing the significant amount of weight.
