The winner of the reality competition show Big Brother 12 was announced live during the finale of the season on September 15, 2010. Three houseguests remained going into the finale, Hayden Moss, Lane Elenburg and Enzo Palumbo. During the finale, Moss and Elenburg competed in the final HOH competition, with Moss winning. During the premiere of Big Brother 12 on July 8, 2010, viewers learned that the twist of the season was a "saboteur" in the house whose goal was to pester the contestants and cause havoc in the house. If the saboteur could accomplish three tasks per week and evade eviction for two weeks, he or she would win $20,000. To take her place, CBS allowed viewers to vote on a second houseguest to receive an offer to become the saboteur. America voted for Regan Fox, a proposition he not only accepted but fulfilled to win the $20,000 prize. Also during the season, a number of personal relationships, also known as showmances, formed. The first started early in the season between Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas.
