The Big Bar Guest Ranch was originally the O.K. Ranching Co. Ltd that was created in 1933 by George S Harrison and Harry Marriott. The main house, now known as the Harrison House, was built in 1963 and is still standing. They sold the ranch in the 1950's to the Squerrey family who then also sold the ranch to caretaker Brian Gunn in 1989.
Brian Gunn and his wife Kathleen, then began working to turn the cattle ranch into a guest ranch with the making of the Sagebrush Inn, two additional cabins, and four tipi's. Again in 1997, the ranch was sold to Anne Freeman who in 10 years sold it to the now current owners Else Marie and Kresten Vestergaard.http://www.bigbarranch.com/history.html
This guest ranch was created for people who wanted to experience the cowboy lifestyle or to simply escape to a quiet beautiful ranch.http://www.bigbarranch.com/history.html Each employee is picked for not only their talents but their family camaraderie personalities that makes guests really part of the Big Bar Ranch family. http://www.bigbarranch.com/goal.htmlThey have also expanded to this original idea to now include leader training and team building for business group guests.http://www.bigbarranch.com/staff.html
