Serbian table tennis player and actress Biba Golic received the honor of being named ESPN's "Sexiest Women in Sports."
The Early Years
Golic was trained by her father, who was a table tennis coach. She started learning the game at the age of ten, and by the age of twelve she became a member of the Serbian National Cadet Team, and was sponsored by Yugoslavia, who paid her housing and travel expenses. Five years later, her career came to a halt when the wars in Yugoslavia made her ineligible to play internationally. Two years later, Texas Wesleyan University offered her a scholarship and a place on their table tennis team, so she moved to the United States to pursue an education and to further her career.
