Bhutto Cover-Up

Shortly after her death, Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) challenged official explanations of her assassination. Bhutto died after sustaining injuries during a suicide bombing at a political rally on December 27, 2008.

Initial reports from both local authorities and Scotland Yard attributed Bhutto's death to head injuries she sustained from hitting her head on her car's sunroof. However, photographs and a video from the event show a man firing a gun in Bhutto's direction.

"What the government is saying is completely ridiculous, in fact it's dangerous nonsense that she knocked her head against the lever of the sunroof or some such thing, as if that would attack her. But frankly, it's very clear, it's running on all the Pakistan TV channels, the footage of an assassin who took clear aim at her with his gun and fired the shot that went through the back of her head and came out the other.
