The Revolution
- GameAnyone: Beyond Good and Evil - Walkthrough 31/33 (Time: 9:55)
- It seems that your report stirred up a lot of trouble.
- The Commander has engaged the automatic self destruction feature...so it's time to go.
- The base will explode in 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Note: You aren't really in danger. You have plenty of time.
- Get onboard the trolley and ride it back.
- The turret is down, so you only have to dodge the lines of fire burning in the hallway.
- Then just run across the bridge and get into the ship before time runs out.
- Taking on the Commander
- The Commander of the Alpha Sections is here to give you a bit of trouble.
- You're locked in his tractor beam until you can take his battleship down.
- This is hard to give you advice for, since it is really just based on intuitive dodging.
- The first part is simple.
- Just use your neutralizer to lock onto the red targets and take them out.
- There should be about 8 to destroy.
- He'll then fire the big laser from the center engine. This one has 8 smaller lasers spread out and focus at the center.
- Try to slip between the lasers, or just recover quickly from the minor damage.
- Note: If you are damaged, just use your PODs. This is the last real time you'll get to use them. No sense hoarding them now.
- After the attack ends, quickly charge the neutralizer and hit the glowing engine.
- If you aren't fast enough, he'll fire the big laser again. Just ride it out if he does.
- The ship fires two stationary laser beams from each of the four wings.
- You need to maneuver between them and fire at the three red points that are at the center of each wing.
- Destroying the critical points on the wing kills its lasers.
- He'll fire the big central laser again and start releasing escape pods.
- Out maneuver the laser and don't get hit by the pods.
- Tip: Sticking to the lower right corner should really help with both of these.
- Hit the central engine again with the neutralizer.
- The two central wings extend and charge an electric field between them.
- Stay below the field and shoot the two red points below it with the neutralizer.
- He should be rotating at this point. Just duck beneath the wings to get a shot at the other two red points.
- The commander will start firing the central laser again. Dodge it as usual while watching out for the pods.
- Shoot the four red points on the wings with the neutralizer.
- The ship is almost destroyed, but he'll now use everything he has against you.
- The electric field is on and the wings are shooting the stationary lasers.
- Stick to the outer edges and pick off the red targets between the lasers.
- You should be able to slip above or below the electric field while he's turning the ship.
- Once all of the points are destroyed, he'll start firing the central cannon, launch four pods at a time, and intermittently fire the stationary lasers. Just ride it out and have the neutralizer charged.
- Quickly get a lock on the center target and fire.
- His ship will lose control and crash.
- You're not free yet though.
- You need to storm the ship and turn off the tractor beam.
- Deploy the hovercraft and approach the two mines blocking the entrance.
- The ship is still active and it will continue to launch torpedoes at you. Be careful and move quickly.
- See if you can find a few metal boxes to knock into them.
- If they are already destroyed, then get a torpedo to follow you and lead it toward the two mines.
- Swing off course at the last second to take out the mine.
- Dock once you've cleared a path.
- Tip: This is another good spot to save.
- Avoid the hanging electrical cord and charge into the room ahead with the three Alpha Sections soldiers.
- If you get a chance, use a power attack and launch plenty of orbs.
- Otherwise, just have Double H keep charging them with his helmet attack.
- He'll either get behind one and hit him in the air tank, or distract the group long enough for you to get behind them for a quick attack.
- Once the three soldiers are killed, step into the lift to go to the command room.
- Watch the little cutscene with the Commander. Once it ends, push the button to disable the tractor beam.
- Backtrack out and rejoin with the Beluga.
- Fly back toward the base.
- GameAnyone: Beyond Good and Evil - Walkthrough 32/33 (Time: 9:59)
- Shooting Your Way into the Base
- The shields are lowered, but the Alpha Sections scramble all of their fighters.
- You can't land just yet. The fighters will rush the Beluga and fore you to abort.
- Just fly around the base for a minute or so.
- Use the neutralizer to get a lock on the little fighters.
- Tip: If you keep moving, then they will not be able to get a lock on you. They aren't very good pilots.
- After you've killed about 15 or so of the fighters, IRIS will arrive with some backup.
- They'll take on the fighters and cover your landing.
- Head for the glowing landing strip. Hover over it for a second and land.
- Go to the central elevator and have your party each stand on one of the three buttons.
- Ride it down into the heart of the base.
- The Final Fight
- Just watch the cutscene and get ready for a fight.
- A whole bunch of Domz Sarcophagi spawn. Just jump around and give them all a good smack.
- Note: Jade seems to be stronger. They should die in just one hit.
- Note: Remember to use your food items when hurt. You won't need them after this.
- After the Domz monsters are gone, the High Priest will start firing the yellow laser from the cutscene.
- Double H can still deflect it with his shield. Run behind him and pull out your camera.
- Shoot three disks into the High Priest to get it to stop.
- It will also start shooting green homing lasers. Just staying mobile should help you dodge most of them.
- The High Priest falls back to the statue after your attack and raises five materia crystals as a shield.
- It also starts spawning clones of Pey'j.
- Have Double H do his super attack to knock the Pey'j clones into the air.
- Knock down enough of the crystals to get a clear shot at the Priest.
- Knock one of the clones into the Priest.
- Tip: The clones are converted Domz Sarcophagi. They'll change back after you hit the clone. Don't forget about killing them too, or they'll overwhelm you.
- The Priest now pulls in Double H and floods the room.
- Stick to the middle piece and wait for him to come over.
- Explanation: You need to pull off the whole sequence to hurt the Priest. If he manages to get an attack in, then he'll just start over and try to hurt you again. The sequence is the same each time, so just keep it in mind.
- The sequence is: left, front, right, left, front, right, above, behind, front.
- To hit him, just look in the relevant direction and attack.
- The only trick is when he's above. You can charge up a super attack if you want, but the easier way is to dodge his attack. He will then miss and be open to a standard counterattack.
- Once you pull off the sequence, the Priest retreats and drains the room.
- Five Double H clones now spawn.
- They're actually pretty tough.
- You need to hit them when their shield is down. One hit is enough to turn them back into a Sarcophagi though.
- Just dodge and counterattack when they attack.
- Tip: A super attack also works well if you have enough breathing room to charge it up.
- The Priest will start shooting the green lasers again after you kill one or two of the clones. Just stay on your feet and heal as necessary.
- Once all five are dead, you will get to the last stage.
- The Reverse Begins
- Your directional controls are now reversed due to your failing strength. Your vision is also blurry and your reflexes are slower.
- The Priest summons some Sarcophagi for you to practice on for a few seconds. Try to get used to the controls and take them out as usual.
- The Priest then comes over for the last sequence.
- The sequence is: left, right, left, right, above, behind, above, behind.
- This means that you'll have to actually go right, left, right, left, dodge and counterattack, forward, dodge and counterattack, forward.
- It sounds hard, but it isn't that bad and the controls are pretty forgiving.
- Once you finish the sequence, Jade will jab her staff into his eye and finish him off.
- The game is now over.
- Sit back and enjoy the cutscene and credits.
- There's a twist at the end of the credits, so keep an eye on the computer for the ending cinematic.
- Congratulations.
