For the Beyonce Oscar Performance in 2009 she performed with Hugh Jackman. E! reports Jackman and Beyonce began rehearsing the song-and-dance routine in New York City a week prior to the ceremony. High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens and Mamma Mia! stars Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper also joined in the performance. Beyonce and Jackman rehearsed at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City prior to awards night and the names of the performance participants begans to be revealed several days before the awards show to draw more attention to the event. The performance was directed by Baz Luhrmann and started with Jackman appearing first and Beyonce and the other stars joining him as the performance continued with musical numbers. Beyonce performed a clip from the Ella James hit song At Last and the group performed parts of Mamma Mia and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
