Betty Jackson is a British designer who studied at the Birmingham College of Art. While attending college in 1968, Jackson began her career as a freelance illustrator and continued even after graduation in 1971. In 1973, she became Wendy Daqworthy's design assistant. Joining with her husband and business partner David Cohen in 1981, she formed her own company, Betty Jackson Ltd, and became chief designer and director. The label took off and in the same year she won her first Woman magazine award as that publication's Separates Designer of the Year.
