Bethune-Cookman University is a private Methodist-affiliated four year university offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Historically a black university, the school offers ethnically diverse education and is the sixth largest of the 39-member UNCF colleges.

Sitting on what was once a garbage dump called "Hell's Hole", Bethune-Cookman University is now a 70 acre campus central to theaters, museums, beaches. There are 36 buildings on the main campus, and of those, seven are historic. The campus is a microcosm of old meets new within the diversity of a student population sharing their traditions and cultures.
