Encoding and Decoding
Encoding a file is a way to hide file data within another file, called a carrier file. Decoding a file is a way to take the file data you encoded into another file and transfer it back to the original file.
If you want to keep data hidden and only show it to a friend or co-worker, you can encode it into a file. You can send them this file, which they can then decode to access the data, provided they have the password.
Steganography
Steganography is a program that will help you encode and decode files.
1. Download Steganography from the program's website. After downloading and installing it, right click on it. Click Properties.
2. In the Compatibility tab, click Run this program as an administrator. Click OK.

1. In the wbStego4 Wizard window, click Continue.
2. Select Encode, then click Continue.
3. Click ..., then find the file you want to hide. Select it and click OK. Click Continue.
4. Click ..., then find the file you want to hide your file data in. Select the File Type of the carrier file.
5. Click Cryptography settings. 
6. Select any algorithym. Enter a password, enter it again to confirm and then click OK. Click Continue.
7. Click ..., then choose a location for your new carrier file. Name it, then click OK. Click Continue.
8. Click Continue. The file will be encoded. Once it finishes, click OK.How to Decode a File
1. Select Decode, then click Continue.
2. Click ... and select your encoded file. Click OK. Select your encoded file's File Type, then click Continue.
3. Enter the password you created, then click Continue.
4. Click ..., then choose the destination for your decoded file. Name it, then click OK.
5. Click Continue. The file will be decoded. Once it finishes, click OK.References
