At the 2008 Grammy Awards on February 10, 2008, the Johnny Cash music video for "God's Gonna Cut You Down" won the award for "Best Short Form Music Video." The video, directed by Tony Kaye, was shot in black and white and featured cameos from many celebrities including Iggy Pop, Kanye West, Chris Rock, Justin Timberlake, Sheryl Crow, Dennis Hopper, Keith Richards and Johnny Depp to name a few.
Other artists nominated for "Best Short Form Music Video" that year were Feist, Justice, Gnarls Barkley, and Mute Math.
