    • According to CNET, the selling point of this model is that it produces the deepest shade of black, and thus one of the most immaculate pictures you can find in a Plasma TV. Like many other models, however, it has a slightly off primary green.
    • Panasonic TH-42PZ700U
    • From CNET: "For those who can spare no expense, the Panasonic TH-42PZ700U plasma offers the best picture quality in its size class." Their only concern is that the 1080p picture does not get its full credit on a screen under 42 inches.
    • Samsung 50" 1080p Plasma HDTV
    • CNET gives the Samsung positive points for its great color and black levels. The only major drawback for them is the nonlinear grayscale and considerable glare, despite a supposedly "glare-reducing" screen.

    • CNET praises the Panasonic's shadow detail and PIP function. Be ware, however, that the set does not come with a stand, tuner, or speakers.
