The films in contention for Best Picture in 2010 were Avatar, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up and Up in the Air. The Best Picture winner, The Hurt Locker, was named the winner on March 7, 2010, at the awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California.
