The song was written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin, and was recorded by Miranda Lambert, who released the song in March of 2010 as the third single from her album, Revolution. The song was number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart on June 12, 2010, and remained in that slot for four weeks. It received platinum status from the RIAA on July 8, 2010. The song also received two CMA awards, Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year, and was also nominated for Best Country Song and Song of the Year at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
