The Pixar film Wall-E, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Andrew Stanton, was the winner of the 2009 Best Animated feature Oscar at the 81st Academy Awards. The ceremony took place on February 22, 2009 in Hollywood, California at the Kodak Theatre.
The other nominees for the 2009 Best Animated feature were the Walt Disney film Bolt directed by Chris Williams and Byron Howard, and Kung Fu Panda from Dreamworks Animation and Paramount Pictures.

The Best Animated Feature Oscar was first presented in 2002. The award is given to an animated film that is at least 70 minutes long. A committee annually elects 3 to 5 films for nomination for the award.
