  • Bernard Kerik is the former police commissioner of New York City, serving under Rudy Giuliani from 2000-2001. In a case stretching back to 2006, Kerik faces Federal charges of tax fraud, conspiracy and purgery.

    On May 26, 2009, Kerik was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for allegedly giving "false and misleading answers" to Bush administration officials in 2004 while being interviewed to head the Department of Homeland Security.
