The Coat of Arms of Bermuda depicts a red lion, which is holding a shield. Upon the shield there is an image of a wrecked ship. The red lion symbolizes England and Bermuda's loyalty to England. The image of the wrecked ship is one of the Sea Venture, which sank off the island in 1609.
The flag of Bermuda has a red background. The flag of the UK is in the upper left corner and the Bermudian coat of arms is centered on the outer half of the flag.
