Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, earnings fell in the forth quarter of 2007 as compared to last year of the same period. In the forth quarter the company's earnings were $2.95 billion as compared to $3.58 billion in 2006. Buffett stated that "Overall, our 76 operating businesses did well last year," and for the year-end, the company earned $13.21 billion as compared to $11.02 billion in 2007. Buffett added that he's optimistic about the individual businesses in 2008 stating, "we have first-class CEOs who run them right, in good times or bad."
