Beowulf The Game

Beowulf: The Game is a 2007 hack-'n-slash game developed by Ubisoft for the PSP, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game is an adaptation of the CGI animated film directed by Robert Zemeckis, which is itself based on the original epic poem.

When King Hrothgar's extravagant mead hall Heorot is attacked numerous times by the brutal monster Grendel, the world renown hero Beowulf sails from Geatland to save the kingdom from the beast. Beowulf and his fellow Thanes set out to rid Hrothgar's kingdom of both Grendel and his mother. However, things are not as simple as they seem, as both Beowulf and King Hrothgar have ambiguous relationships with Grendel's mother.

Beowulf: The Game is a standard action/hack-'n-slash game, in which you take control of Beowulf and his Thane warriors, killing mythical beasts and ridding the world of evil. As you play the game, you will be able to unlock new attacks for Beowulf, as well as the ability to use up to 12 Thanes in battle. Periodically you will be able to use “legacy experience points” to purchase Carnal Powers, especially power abilities that do extra damage.
