Life and Career
Benjamin Bratt was born in San Francisco, California. His mother was a nurse, and his father was a sheet metal worker. His father is American of German and English origin, and his mother is a Quecha Native American activist from Peru.Bratt dropped out early from the American Conservatory Theater to pursue work as an actor. He landed his big break when he played Detective Rey Curtis on the TV series Law & Order.
Since then he has been working steadily in films and TV and has appeared in films like Miss Congeniality and Traffic.
