Ben Broussard is an infielder for the Texas Rangers. After a collegiate career at McNeese State University, the Cincinnati Reds selected Broussard in the 2nd round of the 1999 amateur draft. After three years as a minor leaguer in the Reds farm system, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians, where made his major league debut on June 22, 2002. Broussard played for the Seattle Mariners, before a trade sent him to the Rangers.
