Ben and Jerry's is a brand of ice cream founded by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. Sold in franchise locations as well as convenience and grocery stores, Ben and Jerry's is known for its unique flavors and unusual names.

Social Activism
The franchise is known for its liberal politics, social activism, and creative flavor names. Since 1979, Ben & Jerry's has offered a Free Cone Day once every year, usually in April or May.
