Bella Swan

Bella Swan is the main character in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series of romance novels. Bella is a danger magnet. She can't keep out of harm's way, especially after she attracts vampire Edward Cullen into a dangerous relationship.

The release date for the third movie with Bella Swan in it, the Eclipse Movie, is June 30, 2010!

This significant quote sums up Bella Swan's acceptance of her lot in life, in Twilight. This is her general attitude, most of the time. Even when she thinks James has her mother and that Bella will be dying in her mother's place - in the book - Bella writes a letter to Edward, begging him not to come after her, so that no harm will come to Edward. Bella sees herself as insignificant, and as unworthy of Edward's love. Edward and Bella's relationship progressed to the point where she asked him to turn her into a vampire, but he steadfastly refused. Edward told Bella that he didn't want her to live the life he was living. He didn't want to lose her either. Edward eventually relented and turned Bella into a vampire to save her from dying while giving birth to their daughter, Renesmee.

When Bella was a child, her family used to fish with Jacob Black's family. The two of them reconnected when she moved back to Forks. They became friends, but it wasn't until New Moon that Jacob developed a more prominent place in Bella's life. He became her lifeline after Edward moved away. In Breaking Dawn, Jacob returned to Forks in order to surprise Bella Swan at her wedding to Edward Cullen. A friendship eventually ensued between Jacob and Edward once Bella and Edward's daughter was born. Jacob became their daughter Renesmee's protector.
