How it Works
A USB hub connects to a USB port on the computer, giving users multiple USB ports to power and connect gadgets. A hub has one upstream port and anywhere from two to seven downstream ports. Additional hubs may be connected to a downstream port, giving additional ports. While transmitting data, a computer does not recognize a hub, only recognizing the device that is plugged into it.
