Belief and Betrayal is a "point and click" action-adventure game for the PC. The main character is Jonathan Danter, a journalist who begins to unravel a centuries-old secret.

The story revolves around relics such as The Shroud of Turn, The Holy Grail and the Philosopher's Stone. The plot is similar to The Da Vinci Code. The plot unravels by completing puzzles.

The game is a standard point and click. Players control a mouse and click on objects of interest to have characters inspect and interact with them. There is also a "use" function that reveals more clues to the players.
