The game Bejeweled is a puzzle game that some find addictive. Bejeweled is a very mind stimulating and competitive game. It consists of making 3-5 gems match up by color and scoring points as they are cleared off the board. You will left click the gem of your choice, then switch it with another to form at least three in a row. Getting more than 3 in a row create special gems that either explode(4 gems), destroying other gems around them or that will remove any gem of the same color you swap it with.(5 gems)

Bejeweled 2 was released in year, 2004 and is the sequal to Bejeweled. It is a free web based game created by Pop Cap Games. The following is a list of the different game types offered in Bejeweled 2.

Classic- The player tries to match gems together, and the resulting matches contribute to a level up bar at the bottom of the page. When the bar is filled, the player is warped onward to the next level. The game ends when the player runs out of moves.

Action- Action Mode is the new name for the original Bejeweled Game's timed mode. The level begins with the level up bar halfway filled, which slowly depletes, giving the player limited time to complete the level. In action, the point values for matches are much higher. There is always at least one move that can be made and the game ends when the level up bar is empty.

Puzzle- Puzzle Mode is made up of several different scenarios. Each scenario can be solved by clearing the level of gems by using a certain combination of moves. There are also several unique gems, including Bombs and Rocks.

Endless- Endless is an untimed, unscored, and never ending version of Bejeweled 2. The player can make moves at whatever pace they wish, without the worry of running out of moves. This game is intended to be relaxing or for beginners. At game level 280, Endless offers up an additional new game called "Finity."

Blitz- Released as an add-on for the iPhone version and a standalone application on Facebook, Blitz requires players to gain as high a score as possible within one minute. Exclusive to this mode are multipliers and extra special gems. Special gems left over at the end are activated for bonus points. Score results from this mode can be uploaded to Facebook and compared to other friends who have posted scores.
