In this unique game, the player twists four gems in a clockwise motion in order to form a group of at least three of the same colored gems. There are a few different modes of play within the Bejeweled Twist game, Classic, Zen, Challenge, and Blitz.

• Classic Mode: Players make matches of at least three gems. As matches are made the bar on the left hand side of the screen climbs, when it reaches the top the player is whisked on to the next level.
• Zen Mode: Similar to classic, but there are no bomb gems. The music in this mode is soothing and the play is more relaxing and perfect for the person who is just learning the game.
• Challenge Mode: Includes challenges on every level, and they get harder as the game progresses. The first level within this mode is the Detonator Challenger and player must remove nine or more gems in one move. If a player makes that challenge, they proceed to the next challenge where the object is to remove 12 gems in one move.
• Blitz Mode: Timed mode in which the player tries to gain the highest score possible within five minutes. The trick to playing this game is to make the matches horizontally rather than vertically so that more columns of gems fall, revealing more gems to play with.
