- The Great Wall: This great wall spans more than 4,000 miles and was once guarded by over 1,000 soldiers.
- The Forbidden City: Called the "Gu Gong" in Chinese, this is the worlds largest complex with more than 7.75 million square feet. Built in 1420, it took 15 years to complete and has more than 8,700 rooms.
- Summer Palace: This palace was built in 1760 and was built to be a getaway spot for royalty.
- Temple of Heaven: The temple was built between 1406 and 1420 and served as a place of worship for emperors.
- Tiananmen Square: Built in 1317 this square marks the entrance to the Imperial City.
