How to Use Eyeliner
The first trick to using eyeliner is knowing how oily your eyelids are. If you want to use the eyeliner to go outside your eye, use water resistant liner. If you want to use eyeliner on your water line, use something more formatted for the area, such as an eye kohl.When applying eyeliner, it is best to use the side rather than the tip of the brush. Make small, feathery strokes. To create a less dramatic look, gently smudge the line with your brush or a cotton swab.
Eyeliner: Liquid Versus Pencil
To apply liquid eyeliner, line the eye from the inside of the lashes to outward in one motion.c When using pencil eyeliner, make sure it's sharp so that it doesn't go on too thick. Heating the tip of the pencil with a hair dryer will make the eyeliner go on more smoothly. Pencil eyeliner helps to give your eyes soft definition, while liquid eyeliner offers more precision and greater definition. References

- To apply liner, rest the elbow of your dominant arm on a hard service and rest your wrist on your face to apply eyeliner.c
- Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state to create a good angle for application.c
